unpleasantthis morning i received a call from the vp of the basketball club.
apparently, she had to pass up the mapcu inter-college registration form but did not know the details of one of the players.
so she called me for the details and i gave her whatever details she needed, heavy-heartedly.
don't get me wrong, its not that i'm stingy and do not want to share information or anything.
its just that, last year and the year before that, i was the one doing what she gets to do now.
i was the one in the team.
i was the one that passed up the registration form.
i was the one that did what paperwork needed.
i was the one in trainings.
i was the one looking forward to tournaments.
i was the one booking courts, bringing balls and having loads of fun with the rest of them.
but...this year,
this time,
i'm the one that
was in the team.
i'm the one that left the team on the month of the most important tournament.
i'm the one that passes the court to jog at the lake, not stopping.
i'm the one in my room when the rest are at training.
i'm the one not having to book courts, bring balls or have any more fun there.
its.so.bloody.bitter.and.sucky.to not be able to play basketball anymore for a teami deeply miss the sound of a basketball thumping against the court floor.
i deeply miss the rhythm and pace of the game that exhilarates me.
i deeply miss the rush of adrenaline every time i make a long shot that goes right into the basket.
i deeply miss the sense of belonging to a team.
i deeply miss playing basketball for usj13, u6bc, petaling and college team.
guess that's something i have to put behind me,
and find something else that actually interests this short attention span mind of mine.
