5 months have passed since my graduation from Nilai, and I have been having the time of my life moping and slacking around the house, pretty much doing nothing. =D
It has been the best, because time is a definite healer, among the many other factors.
after 10 semesters of non-stop studying, the 5 months break was a well-deserved one to me.
of course, it came along with a lot of inquiries about when I'm finding a job, what kinda job am I looking for etc. and after a while, people will start asking why hadn't I found a job yet and I'm sure in their minds are questioning how bad were my qualifications and interviewing skills till the fact that no one wants to hire me after so long. LoL
the pressure from relatives were felt, no doubt, but I held steadfastly to my determination of slacking for a while because I know that I'm definitely going to crash and burn very soon if I were to rush and had gotten a job. thankfully my parents were supportive of me being a bummer temporarily (cause mom knows how dark my eye circles are and how sleep-deprived I was during uni times =|).
since I did not do a New Year's post, I shall cram that in this post as well.
2009, was a significant turning point in my life.
final year of degree with two synoptics, half term as a student rep, final year in the basketball team, first time organising an open basketball tournament, went to places that I've been before but saw them in a different light, met people from different walks of life, exposed to situations which I never thought I could apprehend before, experienced emotions that I never thought that I was capable of and made decisions that I have never fought so hard for before.
I've never been a tell-tale and I don't intend to be one, but it did hit my limits last year. I could have crumbled and fell with all that was going on around me if it wasn't for the pillar that I was leaning on. There were times when everything was going at a pace so fast that I could only see blurred images, times when the stress levels were so high that I couldn't help hiding in the corner to sob, and times when hope was so scarce that giving up seemed to be the only option.
I'm never one who exaggerates. those times were really hard for me, and I'm extremely thankful for all the aid received for me to be able to withstand all the stress. Finding hope again is such a wonderful feeling. Taken from a quote I came across today "Take heart, this journey through abyss is the final barrier before your emergence into the heavenly light of a new synthesis of your being." Thank you all for everything.
2010 will be a great year!
It started off well, with the people I hold closest to my heart, and it shall bear no stains of the year before. 2010 is a fresh start after graduation, with me starting a job after the CNY celebrations. Hope that things will perk up this year.
Have a great year ahead, readers! =)
