The Celebrity Apprentice
I've just started watching season 7 of the Apprentice, which turns out to be the Celebrity Apprentice, where successful, big-headed celebrities compete for the charity of their choice. What i want to highlight is one of the contestants, Gene Simmons, which is 'The Demon' from the hard rock band Kiss.

Gene Simmons, always in shades, even in the dark board room

At first, I thought that he was some really cool guy, back scene fella, but with big brains and clever decisions. Oh I was so so wrong. And his arrogance, phew...

Here are some snippets from the show.

After the girls' team were losing twice in a row, Gene was 'transfered' to the girls' team and was made the project manager of the task. This was his prep meeting in the van:

"Okay, I want to say one thing. Its a benevolent dictatorship. I've been told I'm the team leader. Do we all understand that?"

Benevolent dictatorship, kind dictatorship, Dictatorship?!
Why is the 'dictatorship' word even used in this game? Its a team game, is it not?

After losing the task and disagreeing with the client's final decision, and disagreeing with Donald Trump, he was fired. This was part his "closing" speech in the limo:

"I trusted my gut, than the two executives I met. I'm more qualified to make those decisions simply because I'm in a people business. I stand by my convictions and decisions, every one of them. In their present form, the women don't have a popcorn fart chance of even shining the guys' shoes."

I don't know what to say except for... omg!
too arrogant? too independent? thinks too highly of himself?

omg!

*too bad he left so early though. would have been fun hating him in the show. oh well, at least there's omarosa there still.

its been a long time since I've done a tag. this should be fun =)

Instructions: Remove 1 question from below, and add in your personal question, make it a total of 20 questions, then tag 8 people in your list, list them out at the end of this post.

1. At what age do you wish to marry?
don't have any specific age, but hopefully before 30

someone happy-go-lucky

my family and friends

erm, erm, for now, its most probably France.

to live happily ever after with prince charming in a high-tech castle with all the latest gizmos. that's not too much to ask for, riteeee ?

seeing is believing, and i've seen rainbows after the rain. yup, believe.

Jean Grey of X-Men, chun chick. I like her telepathic and telekinetic powers. chun. as long as it doesn't destroys me though.

8. If you win $1 million, what would you do?
spend the family a holiday, spend friends dinner and then invest the rest in a small business. i've got it all planned out already, so someone let me win and i'll buy you dinner k? =P

one thing I have finally picked up today was, 'you'll never know what tomorrow holds'. yes, I have heard of that statement zillions of times, but I have never truly captured the significance of that statement. not as deep as of what I understand today.

life is unpredictable, is it not? you'll never know what tomorrow holds

everyday you'll wake up, expecting a monotonous routine just as how life 'happened' on the day before, and then....Wham! , one day, life decides to be funny by instilling drastic changes and fluctuations of emotions that removes you from the comfort space you call sanctuary. when that hits you, you'll have to feel about in the dark, wondering what this new space that life has just placed you in is, what this new space holds and how, how you are to adapt to it.
truthfully, I've been stumbling a lot lately, having to adapt with a lot of new changes in my life, most of them whom are not welcomed with open arms. but as I inch away from my teen years, I have picked up along the way how to accommodate these changes and how to rebuild a comfort zone. along with that, I usually gain new perspectives of life. all part of growing up, you can say.

today, precisely at 2p.m, the phang family has lost a member. at the age of 44, he was my dad's younger cousin, a son, a husband, a father and a grandfather. his passing away was a big shock to all the family members. it was so sudden accident, just barely a month after he threw a huge house warming function for the family during the chinese new year. I could also remember him clearly during the first day of chinese new year, this year, where I was trying to help him download some files from the internet into his computer. that felt as though it has just happened yesterday. he was among the people whom are family, but i only expect to see once a year, but nevertheless, there, every year.

its a sad thing to happen, a change that all of us in the family have to adapt to. I hope that he is in peace and my heart goes all out to his grieving family, as the whole family goes through the alteration of our sanctuary.

'Live each day to its fullest; you never know what tomorrow will bring'

just came home from puiyan's place. winnie, puimun, sheeann, puiyan, shalom and I stayed up all night playing the game of life. shalom left after the first game though, had to work the next day. the rest of us played all night, which was a darn super duper fun outing. everyone was after each others throats for the fattest salary, chanting the number of their stocks, and influencing others to give birth to more babies. it may be just a game, but we have also discovered who in the group would most likely be first to get married, who was most fertile (LOL !) and who will most likely spend the rest of their lives on one night stands. =P

we should do this more often girls, and guy. its fun and funnieeee! =D

winnie's Soxxxxxed stuffed crust pizza
(had to put the xx's there in case of under-18 ppl reading =P)

signing off.

Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam

After months and months of planning (well, not exactly hard planning), we were finally able to go to Bukit Cahaya at Shah Alam! Yay! Not much to say, pictures are worth more a thousand words.

lee pui yan, pui yan, winnie and me at the entrance of the place.

the path at the forest. well, the path we went on wasn't all that natural actually.
it was more like this.....

Tar road.
All of us wanted to cycle all the way but apparently a group of people with some 160++ members took almost all of the bikes there.
So, we took the last two and decided to share it among the five of us.

We were going uphill most of the time so instead of cycling most of the time and enjoying the breeze in our hair as we ride, we rented the bikes to push it uphill. At least there were some parts on the way up sloping downwards, which was fun and fast !

There was some program, something called Walk the Canopy or something similar, that costs RM35 per person.
This is canopy walk thingy. Pretty impressive. Lots of logs hung not-so-high up on trees.

More logs.

Me at some historic, woody looking entrance. It most probably lead to some hall where a 'rempits' party was taking place. There was this guy doing a really bad impersonation of a high-pitched rocker, and his voice was blasted all around the area.
It.was.not.peaceful.as.I.expected.the.park.to.be.
Darn you, off-tuned but confident singer!

me and pui yan.
(its a rare picture! =P)

me, winnie and pui yan.

I like this picture =)

Some creepy-crawly plant farm, either starfruit or dragonfruit.

Cactus farm, looks like some prehistoric setting right? =D

emo @ emohill
laugh all you want, I like this pic!

A huge dam at the top of the hill.
We got rid of the bikes and hop on a bus to get to the top of the hill.
With the bikes, it will take days before we'll reach to the top.

That's a really long drop.

The freshwater fishes at the dam.

On the right, you can see someone emo-ing by the dam, thinking about life and depression, and food.
While on left side of the picture, we are all witness to a reenactment of a Winter Sonata scene.

On the floating platform after we had our picnic.

After walking for about 3hours straight, we were beginning to feel tired and decided to watch the clouds as we waited for the bus to arrive. But our bliss was shortlived. Some monkeys came to Our lying spot, and started to bully us away from the spot! How can we say no to vicious claws

The monkey boss eating a Mamee Monster snack. A little while later, the same monkey boss was seen bullying some Iranian tourists. The Iranian's three brand new bottles of mineral water was snatched from his hands and flung far away. He was worried that that the monkey would continue to attack so he hurried from the scene, leaving the three bottles of water, which was quite a waste considering monkeys most probably can't open the caps of the bottle.

One feature we were looking forward to in Bukit Cahaya was it's Four Season House.
We were all crossing our fingers, hoping that it would be the winter season but it turned out to be having an early spring season (7-12 celcius) which was beautiful.
The little house with the waterwheel during early spring.

It was pretty nice in there, lots of fresh flowers, so flora-ish!

I wanna go to someplace where this was actually a real scene, not a mock one.

Trees

Porcupines!
Well, those in pet shops look a lot nicer.
These are really nosy, kinda smelly but kinda cute, at times.

For further details of what to bring and the directions the place, check out this blogger's post.

My Day on the 12th General Election

The house was almost empty at 11am, morning of the election. Parents already out and about, the youngest one was still sleeping while the other one was most probably playing basketball at the court. Since I can't vote yet, and have survived my horrifying finance finals on Friday, I went out with sheeann, nat n puiyan to Sunway Pyramid at 12.30pm. There, we walked all day, ate twice and had a lot of 'chores' done. After that, sheeann dropped puiyan off at usj3, and called the rest out to mamak. Puimun and karine hopped on board while winnie didn't want to follow because she wanted to watch the elections on tv. At that moment, we thought that it was kind of weird to 'watch the elections on tv'. I mean, I personally thought that the elections was there and done, what else is there to watch? In just a while later, I discovered that I was wrong.

We arrived at Makbul and sat in front of the tv. Eating fried meehoon, which was surprisingly not bad to my liking, we watched the elections on tv too. It was then that we found out that it was actually quite exciting to watch because instead of just plain reporting of who won, or lost, the news was somewhat made into race for the parliamentary seats, with figures and shocks popping out here and there. A little while after we have warmed up the seats, winnie called and delivered the shocking news of the opposition winning the Subang Jaya state seat. Then other messages and phone calls begun to flood in, some from worried parents calling to rush them home, and others from friends bearing the latest updates.

With all these updates, and newscasters' reporting voices at the background, we begin to feel an icy chill slowly creeping down our spines. Is it still safe to be out here in the open, now that the opposition has won the seat? Our loud discussions before this was now hushed to soft whispers. All of us huddled closely, which was pretty silly to think of now, we were just scaring ourselves with imaginary chaos. I quickly stood up, went to the cashier's, and paid the bill. Then quickly half-walked to the car, half running, locked the car doors the moment we were all in and went home.

It was as though we expected some mad men running the down the neighborhood streets with long samurai swords , slicing everything in sight. lol

mumble mumble mumble

hi, i'm supposed to be studying for my finance finals, but no matter what, i can't seem to jumpstart my engine. been at home for four days already, which is nice because being connected to the internet is like being connected to the whole world, and being in nilai without speedy internet is like, a toad stuck under a miserable boulder.

last week has been really really miserable because i was sick. i vomited a lot and i was coughing the whole way. my stomach was so upset that every time i cough, its threatens to vomit.

me : *Cough Cough*

my stomach : Oi ! Cough some more I push up some vomit wan ar!

and the worst part was.... I Had No Appetite to Eat.... at all!

usually my stomach's auto alarm will go off like every two hours.
no matter how much i have stuffed it during the meal before, it will still go off, like some super digesting machine. lol
and it i ignore the two hour alarm, the third alarm will be slightly louder.
and if i still ignore the two and three hour alarm, the forth one will be as loud as an orchestra, which is pretty embarrassing and i'll be forced to feed it to shut it up.

however, i really had no appetite to eat at all, which is pretty worrying actually.
okay, actually... i WANTED so badly to eat but my stomach couldn't take much food.
every time i eat, my stomach will threaten me the same way as how i was threatened when i coughed. lol

okay, that was it. my 'mumble mumble mumble' post. hope you guys liked reading how 'good' my stomach behaves. till next time...=P
