Fun Night Out

Saint Valentine's Day was yesterday.

It was a holiday where you see people in shopping malls, walking in couples, holding flowers and gifts from their loved ones.

In Sunway Pyramid, it was so fun observing these couples and the generosity of their partners in showering gifts.

There was this sungai wang-looking young couple, probably around 15ish. The guy was holding a bouquet of nicely decorated expensive looking roses, and the young girl was lugging a huge pink fluffy bear, which is almost the same size as her! lol

On the other hand, I saw another couple in their 20s. You might think that being older means bigger gifts, since can afford a bigger budget. But No..the 20ish girl was only holding a single puny little rose, so small that it looks like its still a bud, in wrappings at the size of my palm.

Don't know what to say la....kiamsiap or smart?
Probably the 20 something couple is smart enough to know that the country is currently going through recession and is trying to save up by not buying stuff that dies the next day.
Or probably the 15 year old kid is even wiser by buying lots of cotton stuffed into a big pink piece furry mat, with hopes of doing a small part to stimulate the cotton economy. lol

Anyway, we hung out at Republic, had some beers.
Ohhhh, did I mention before?
I Love Heineken!
Tiger, Guiness and the rest of the stouts' are plain yucky to me.
But Heineken and Carlsberg are nice and soothing lagers.

The Controversial Song

The third song off Britney's latest album, Circus, is indeed pretty interesting.

When I first heard If You Seek Amy, I brushed it off like any other silly (but catchy) songs with meaningless lyrics.

Then again, if you listen to it closely, you might be able to 'decode' what the song really is about.

No no no, its not about looking for a girl named Amy.
Not at all.

I think that it is a clever play of words.

From a sentence that literally means nothing, to a sentence with a phrase taboo-ed to children.

Listen to the song and see if you guess why the Parent Television Council (PTC) deems this song as "racy and violating Indecency Laws".
