Day at TRAP !
* this is gonna be a short post cause i'm feeling really tired and feverish now, so i should probably sleep earlier, than usual. What is TRAP? TRAP, short for Taman Rekreasi Air Panas aka Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park. It is located at Sungkai, Perak, which took us an hour and a half from Subang. Went there with puiyan, shalom and two of his friends, ivan and..hazman? Sorry if i spelled your name wrongly =P

puiyan, me and hazman

Ivan, who kindly drove all the way there

me and puiyan's hands.
played some kindergarten game in the car that requires merciless slapping on our hands. lol
my hand is the one on the left. it was actually slapped till it was boiling hot but since my hands are dark, the redness wasnt that obvious =S
We reached there around 6 in the evening. It was pouring in Sungkai. It was actually also raining on our way there but we figured since Sungkai was a totally different state, there should be difference in the weather there. Just like in Nilai, it may be raining in my college (Negeri Sembilan) but INTI college, which was on the outskirts of Selangor, might surprisingly be dry though the distance between the two colleges is less than 500metres.
Anyway, it was pouring in Sungkai but we went into the park anyway. The entrance fee was RM 7 per person, which I think is pretty expensive, but being a RM6 million project located in a pretty secluded area, they have to find ways to recover that cost, don't they?
I did not manage to snap any pictures in the park cause I did not bring my phone in. So, I took several pictures from this website called MalaysiaVacationGuide.com, which is a pretty good site that recommends good places to go in Malaysia.
Here's the link to that site.
The entrance

The huge hot spring water pool.
It was beautiful at night, with all the steam rising from the water.

The previous pool was like a warm up...for this pool.
The water here was around 38 -42 Celsius, hot hot hot!
I dipped my legs in the pool for a while, and came out with 10 red cocktail sausages, attached to feet, what used to be my toes. =D

The egg boiling place.
The water here is at boiling point wei, no joke, 100 Celsius.
We brought and tossed three eggs in and took them out 5mins later.
I'm not a fan of eggs, not any in particular =P, but the egg I had boiled in that hot spring water was the best egg I have ever tasted.
(it might also probably be caused by the fact that it was 8pm and I have yet to eat any dinner)

Therapeutic hot spring water path.
We stopped to have Burger King at the Sungai Buloh bridge on the way back. Reached home around 11pm. I had a great but tiring day overall. Can't wait to go back to college *sigh*

Bukit Cahaya, Shah AlamAfter months and months of planning (well, not exactly hard planning), we were finally able to go to Bukit Cahaya at Shah Alam! Yay! Not much to say, pictures are worth more a thousand words.

lee pui yan, pui yan, winnie and me at the entrance of the place.

the path at the forest. well, the path we went on wasn't all that natural actually.
it was more like this.....
Tar road.

All of us wanted to cycle all the way but apparently a group of people with some 160++ members took almost all of the bikes there.
So, we took the last two and decided to share it among the five of us.

We were going uphill most of the time so instead of cycling most of the time and enjoying the breeze in our hair as we ride, we rented the bikes to push it uphill. At least there were some parts on the way up sloping downwards, which was fun and fast !
There was some program, something called Walk the Canopy or something similar, that costs RM35 per person.

This is canopy walk thingy. Pretty impressive. Lots of logs hung not-so-high up on trees.

More logs.

Me at some historic, woody looking entrance. It most probably lead to some hall where a 'rempits' party was taking place. There was this guy doing a really bad impersonation of a high-pitched rocker, and his voice was blasted all around the area.
It.was.not.peaceful.as.I.expected.the.park.to.be.
Darn you, off-tuned but confident singer!

me and pui yan.
(its a rare picture! =P)

me, winnie and pui yan.

I like this picture =)

Some creepy-crawly plant farm, either starfruit or dragonfruit.

Cactus farm, looks like some prehistoric setting right? =D

emo @ emohill
laugh all you want, I like this pic!

A huge dam at the top of the hill.
We got rid of the bikes and hop on a bus to get to the top of the hill.
With the bikes, it will take days before we'll reach to the top.

That's a really long drop.

The freshwater fishes at the dam.

On the right, you can see someone emo-ing by the dam, thinking about life and depression, and food.
While on left side of the picture, we are all witness to a reenactment of a
Winter Sonata scene.

On the floating platform after we had our picnic.

After walking for about 3hours straight, we were beginning to feel tired and decided to watch the clouds as we waited for the bus to arrive. But our bliss was shortlived. Some monkeys came to Our lying spot, and started to bully us away from the spot! How can we say no to vicious claws

The monkey boss eating a Mamee Monster snack. A little while later, the same monkey boss was seen bullying some Iranian tourists. The Iranian's three brand new bottles of mineral water was snatched from his hands and flung far away. He was worried that that the monkey would continue to attack so he hurried from the scene, leaving the three bottles of water, which was quite a waste considering monkeys most probably can't open the caps of the bottle.
One feature we were looking forward to in Bukit Cahaya was it's Four Season House.
We were all crossing our fingers, hoping that it would be the winter season but it turned out to be having an early spring season (7-12 celcius) which was beautiful.

The little house with the waterwheel during early spring.

It was pretty nice in there, lots of fresh flowers, so flora-ish!

I wanna go to someplace where this was actually a real scene, not a mock one.

Trees
Porcupines!
Well, those in pet shops look a lot nicer.
These are really nosy, kinda smelly but kinda cute, at times.
